I'm a novelist and semi-retired landscape architect, love hiking, boating and fishing with my two boys. I've been married to the girl of my dreams for 40 years.

My knees have taken a beating over the years and hurt when I do too much, so losing some weight would take pressure off them. Plus, I want to look better and be able to keep hiking and doing outdoor stuff for as long as possible.
